IBM ThinkPad UltraBase ... that accommodate the enhancements you choose. The first bay, the Floppy Disk Drive/Battery bay, allows you to install either the floppy disk drive that comes with the ThinkPad 570, or an extra battery which will double your ThinkPad 570's runtime. The second device bay, the UltraSlim bay, holds any of the UltraSlim bay devices you choose including a CD-ROM drive, a DVD-ROM drive, a SuperDisk LS-120 drive, a second Hard Disk drive, and a Zip 100MB drive. The UltraBase attaches easily to your ThinkPad 570 and and even includes additional built-in speakers! The UltraBase is required to connect the ThinkPad 570 to the optional Port Replicators.
