The control panel assembly comes pre-assembled and is modular in design. The control panel assembly module slides into a predefined slot on the front of the chassis. Once installed, communication to the server board can be achieved by either attaching a 50-pin cable to a hotswap backplane, or if cabled drives are used, can be connected directly to the server board. In addition, a USB cable is routed to a USB port on the server board.
