The 'Solesoother' term comes about because the surface of the footplate has a wave pattern which apparently gives a gentle massage as your feet run over it. Personally I dont agree with this and to be honest you would have to literally take your shoes off and run your feet up and down the rest to get any benefit from the wave design. I would therefore just see this as a footrest and even then I think it is excellent value at just £1...more

Having used a similar product to this at work for quite a while I decided to get one for home use. This Kensington Solesoother is basically a footrest for those working at a desk for many hours and provides the user with a stable base in which to rest their feet. The flexibility setting can be adjusted from a zero degree (flat) angle, to a 20 degree position. There are three height settings also.
