Having used a similar product to this at work for quite a while I decided to get one for home use. This Kensington Solesoother is basically a footrest for those working at a desk for many hours and provides the user with a stable base in which to rest their feet. The flexibility setting can be adjusted from a zero degree (flat) angle, to a 20 degree position. There are three height settings also.
The Solesoother is constructed from high impact ABS which ensures a robust experience. The 'Solesoother' term comes about because the surface of the footplate has a wave pattern which apparently gives a gentle massage as your feet run over it. Personally I dont agree with this and to be honest you would have to literally take your shoes off and run your feet up and down the rest to get any benefit from the wave design. I would therefore just see this as a footrest and even then I think it is excellent value at just £15.
The footrest is very easy to assemble when you first recieve it. One tiny little irritance is that the footrest isn't really suitable for wooden floors. As it has no rubber feet or just rubber pads, it offers no resistance and will slide around happily on a shiny surface!
For people who are perhaps a little short to reach the floor then this is ideal and alleviates back ache and aching legs and feet in the longer term. Great price and excellent quality.
