Laptop Table with Light & Cushion
I get a bit fed up with either having my laptop on my lap, burning my legs after a while, or having to sit at the dinner table with it, so when I saw this laptop table on Amazon for £6.99 I snapped it up with my Amazon voucher.
The look of the laptop table is actually quite nice in its silver coloured finish. Possibly one of the only decent things about the table!
The laptop table is quite bulky from bottom to top, though the room on the actual table is very minimal. It has a reading lap attached to one corner as well as a cup holder with cushioning on the bottom to make it that little more comfortable on your lap. This is actually very comfortable with the bean-like padding moulding itself over my legs for even more extra comfort. The measurements are approximately 17.5 inches, 13.5 inches and 3.5 inches. To be honest, the picture of it on Amazon is a little misleading when it comes to size. I could barely fit my laptop on the table with the lamp and tiny cup holder taking up the room. Perhaps my own fault for not reading the specifics well enough. This table would perhaps be fine for a small notebook computer though my laptop is quite large and hangs over the edges. Not only this, but the table itself is also rather slippery with no real grip. I do have grips on the bottom of my laptop though as it hangs over the edge these become almost useless.
The lamp upon the table works really well. It is in the typical style of a desktop lap and can be moved into whichever position you prefer. I've found this useful when I have rested a book on this table to read, though due to the lack of space, I don't find it useful with my laptop on the table! The lamp takes three AA batteries and lasts quite a long time, though I rarely use the lamp for anything other than reading.
Overall, it is possibly my own fault for not reading the dimensions properly before purchasing, though you would expect it to be a lot bigger as it is so named a laptop table and not a notebook or reading table! Small notebook computers may be alright on this table but DO check the measurements first. Larger laptops like my own really have no use for this and so this table has now been reduced to a reading table.
Not really recommended, though for smaller notebook computers, possibly!
Summary: Check the measurements before buying as the picture is misleading!
