I wouldn't say I am OCD when it comes to cleanliness, but I like to keep on top of bacteria and have a working environment that both looks and feels clean. Computer equipment can often be neglected with regards to cleaning, it also holds some real breeding grounds when it comes to germs. If there a few people in your household using the same mouse and the same keyboard then such things can get forgotten about and left for someone else to do. Germs can be left on the keyboard, such as if you forget to wash your hands after using the bathroom, or coughing at the desk can spread germs also.
We have established that computer accessories can harbor bacteria and so giving your keyboard a thorough clean now and again is quite important. I always like to keep some of these Lindy Wet Wipes to hand for an occassional wipe down of the keyboard and mouse. These wet wipes are a general use wet wipe and can be used around the house and not just at the computer desk.
The packaging is quite simple, coming in a cylindrical container with a typical flip lid to access the wipes which are dispensed through a narrow space at the top of the container. The label is also quite basic, offering an image of a computer screen to give you an idea of how the wipes can be used, and the Lindy branding and product name also present.
The wipes themselves are of a reasonable size, but there thickness isn't anything to get excited about. I don't find myself putting my fingers through the wipes whilst using them, but they could be a little thicker and stronger. The container houses 100 wipes and costs around £4, so they are not cheap by any means. I think the price is a little on the high side, but this is to be expected. The wipes are not 'too' moist, but they do allow me to tackle stubborn marks on the laptop or PC screen and the end result is always to a high standard. As the wipes are not dripping wet they give me the confidence to use them on all my computer essentials such as mouse and keyboard, as I know they are not going to damage the internals. These wipes produce their best results on monitors, though, as they leave a sparkly clean and smear-free finish.
I much prefer the Lindy Wet Wipes than using a duster or damp cloth to clean my monitor with. Their versatility stretches to the entire laptop housing and also my workspace (desktop, lamp, printer). Their simplicity lends itself well to my lazy nature, and the end result is a clean workstation that is free from potentially harmful bacteria.
Although there isn't a great deal to say about a wet wipe I feel there are a number of positives to take from the purchase of the Lindy Wet Wipes. Firstly, I will definately continue to use these wipes due to their simple use and adequate dampness. Secondly i think the packaging is well designed, with a sealed lid which prevents unused wipes from drying out. Finally I find that the end results are satisfying and make the purchase of the Lindy Wet Wipes a must, especially for those sharing desks either at home or work.

They say that the average mobile phone harbours more bacteria than a home toilet so goodness only knows how much bacteria is stored on a keyboard or computer screen that is used by one or more people. At work I am terrible for always using that alcohol hand sanitiser and like to keep everything as germ free as possible. Working in a medical centre means there are hidden germs everywhere and everyone is always cautious about keeping things well sanitised.
We had these Lindy wipes at work and when I asked my practise manager if she could order me in a tub of them so that I could get them for home she was more than happy to as long as I paid her the cost price. We order from a local stationary and office supply shop and the price I paid for a tub of these wipes was a fairly good £3. I have had a little look online and it seems this was a smidgen cheaper than what you can pick them up for as they seem to range from around the £3.99 p region and most sites are selling them for a bit more.
Lindy is a trusted name in computer assessors and we tend to use a lot of their stuff at work so I was sure that the product I was getting was of good quality plus I had already been using the wipes for a good while at work.
The wipes come in a handy plastic tub which is easy to seal one open and this keeps the wipes fresh and still moist even after a long period since first opening. You get a nice amount of 100 wipes per tub and these have lasted me a very long time as I will probably give my home laptop a good clean and wipe over around once every week.
The size of the wipes at about 20 by 12 cm is not excessively big but they are not too small either and I find that one wipe is large enough and moist enough to clean the keyboard and screen of my laptop. At work I probably use a bit more for cleaning my desktop as I know other people have been using it as opposed to my personal laptop at home which is only covered with my own germs! The wipes are thin but I haven't encountered them tearing at all and they are pretty strong for the jobs they are doing.
Cleaning with the wipes is really good and quite easy too. The dust and grime from the computer screen was instantly stuck to the dampness of the wipe and it didn't need to much going over befre every trace of dust was removed. The wetness of the wipe did smear the computer screen slightly but I find that after a minute or two of drying the smears disappear and don't really need a going over unless you are super picky and might want to buff it up with a special cleaning tissue (we have these at work but I didn't bother getting them for home.)
The wipes not only work well on my laptop but they also do a good job at cleaning up my iphone, my LCD TV in all the rooms and any other electrical goods that I don't want to use a baby wipe or a Mr Muscle type cleaner wipe on. The fragrance free cleaning abilities of the Lindy wipes are perfect for electric goods as you know it isn't too damp and there are not any harsh chemicals that could damage your screen.
All in all although quite expensive for what they are I find that they work really well and a tub for home use has lasted me a good deal of time and for that reason I feel a top score of 5 out of 5 stars and a very high recommendation is well deserved. You will be surprised at how dirty your computer is once you have used one of these!
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
I got some lindy wet wipes to use to clean the computer and keyboard. I used them and they were ok. I also used them to clean some tv screens, my mobile phone screen etc. I got the wet wipes at the same time as the dry cleaning tissues.
The lindy wet wipes are a gneral use wet cleaning sheet. You can use it to clean a lot of stuff and they work fine if you use them. You do need a few at a time but they will work ok. I got them and they made a fair job of cleaning and were better than the lindy dry wipes with a bottle of cleaning spray.
The wet wipes are not all that thick but they do work. I would have liked them a bit thicker. I was careful not to press too hard when I used them. You have to be careful when using them to get a smear free result but you can get one with a bit of effort.
The tub of wipes I got had 100 wipes in and it cost me £3.99. I think that was a good price for them and I woud get them again. The tub was useful for storing the unused wipes. The lid stays put but part flips up and you can pull out a wipe when you need it.
I think the wipes are every easy to use and the tub seals the rest of the unused wipes away to keep them moist. They are a bit wet but not soaking wet so safe for use on tv, computers etc. I didn't get any drips of cleaning stuff from the wipes when I used them which was good.
I would recommend the lindy wet wipes because they do clean and they made the pc and laptop keyboards come up good after a few wipes got used on. I think the price is ok because you get a lot of wipes and that makes them last well.
