My uncle brought me this laptop bag for Xmas, I didn't know at the time but it's loads more expensive than I'd pay for a laptop bag myself and costs anywhere between £85.00 and £115.00.
The case is made of leather and is a lovely chocolate colour, it's richer looking than it looks in the photo Dooyoo have got up. It still smells of leather now and I've used it LOADS of time, it looked wicked when it was new but I've kept it tidy and now it's a few months old it's looking even better because the bag has been worn in.
It's made to keep the Sony Vaio laptop in but any laptop smaller than 15.4 inches will fit into it. The part where the laptop goes is padded good and just by looking at it I could see straight away that my laptop would be well cushioned. I mean, it's not going to save it from a high fall but I reckon that if the strap slipped off my shoulder then the bag would definately protect the laptop. I've got a Toshiba laptop and that fits in the bag perfect, there's a stretchy adjustable strap to put round the laptop when it's in the bag and that gives it a bit more protection even though you can see that it's not going to be thrown around in the bag or anything like that.
There's also a section for keeping your stationery in. There's room for a notebag and also some pen loops, a pocket for your mobile, business card holder (perfect for library cards!) and a couple of little pockets for you to keep your bits and pieces in. I think this laptop bag is laid out perfect, it's not bulky but feels like you can stuff LOADS into all the pockets without wrecking the shape of it.
The shoulder strap is good, it's not madly thick but carrying it is still comfortable because there's a rubbery patch on the strap that helps the bag sit nice. The patch also stops the strap slipping off my shoulder so actually makes it a bit of a safer way to carry my laptop about, the last laptop bag I had was a nightmare.... I mean it was a decent bag but the strap was canvas and it was sooooo slippery that I had to make sure I'd got my hand on it all the time because I was madly scared of it slipping off my shoulder all the time.
The clasp is magnetic and that holds the bag closed fine, it's never come open when it shouldn't because the magnet is quite strong but at the same time it's mega easy to open the bag when you need to.
The best way to keep this laptop bag looking good is to wipe it over with a damp cloth or a baby wipe every couple of times you use it, I use leather dubbing on it when I remember and that gives it a nice and shine and helps the leather to stay looking and feeling supple.
Recommended.... not a cheap laptop bag but well worth the money I reckon, looks mega stylish and more important keeps my laptop safe when I'm out.
Sony are reknown for their high quality classy designed products and this is also true of many of their accessories too.
This is a short review of the Sony Vaio Messenger bag.
As you can see from the picture the bag is brown in colour, a light chocolate colour on the outside with a sort of beige tan colour on the inside.
The front flap is made of leather and has double stitching running down it. The sides of the bag are canvas, this can also be said about the back. The bag features a shoulder strap which is canvas and has a large rubber gel -like pad to make it comfortable to wear on your shoulder and cushion it. This works really well and although you can feel the weight of the bag and contents its never too much.
Now the bag has a small leather belt style tab at the bottom, but it uses a magnet cleverly concealed to keep itself shut!
Upon opening the bag you will numerous divided sections. The back section has a velcro strap and is padded on both sides. This is the section your laptop goes into. It so well padded that your laptop will be safe from most things in here.
Next to this section you will two more divided area's suitable for paperwork or anything that will fit really. My 15" laptop and power supply all go in this bag with other bits and bobs and i have had no problems. Loads of room inside.
Now although the product is of superior quality and does everything you need it to, looks great the only downer is its price tag.
I know it has the Vaio branding but £100+ is quite a lot.
So benefits - It protects your laptop. Makes it easy to carry, looks good. Is made using high quality materials and standards, and is perfect.
Cons - Just the price on this one
