Introduction

I wanted some lighting in my computer tower case so I searched online and found these. I've been using them now for over a year and here is my review.
I got these for about £5 (buy 1 get one free offer) from an online store (cant remember where!)
What Are Cathodes
################
These are simply a plastic tube (about 5mm) with a wire going through the middle of it. When they are powered the tube emits a really cool glow. They don't get hot at all. They can be used for a number of purposes; computer, vehicle, as well as kitchen lighting - these are designed for a computer - so if you want to use them for something else you will need to modify the power connector.
Whats In The Kit?

Within the plastic box you get
1 x cathode (in whatever colour you purchased)
1 x power inverter
2 x Velcro pads
1 x molex power splitter
1 x rocker switch
The Installation

As I stated before I used these in my computer. The installation was really simple. You have given everything you could possibly need within the kit. First you need to find a molex connector in your computer. If you don't have a spare one, then use the power splitter included within the kit and split the power.
Now connect the cathode to the inverter. The inverter is there to supply only the required amount of power to the cathode. The power inverter I then connected to the molex in your computer. And that's it your done!!
The rocker switch is already attached to the inverter. This is the on / off switch for the cathode. I just leave mine switched on, so whenever I switch my computer on, its always on. You can mount this outside somewhere if you want to have the lights on / off whever you want.
The Velcro pads are given so you can mount the cathode somewhere. I mounted mine on the top of the inside of my computer; so the light emits all over!

After using these for a year, I can say that they are really reliable and bright. The kit gives you all that you could require.
