Introduction
##########

I have a Thermaltake Armor computer tower and wanted a window and a sidefan - so I decided to upgrade the side panel with this extra provided by Thermaltake. I purchased it for £19.99 from an online store - cant remember the name or website (sorry) but I know Amazon sell it for less.

Why Upgrade?
############

Well the reasons someone would want to upgrade the side panel to their computer tower is to (1) have a window at the side - so you can see all of the inner workings of the computer, add lighting and basically pimp out your PC! (2) You can add an extra side fan to it, this means there will be more airflow to your computers mainboard, CPU, memory etc and keep everything cool when you are running intensive programs such as games.

What's Included?
###############

Included in the package is the side panel itself - which will fit in the Armor and the Kandalf tower models and you also get a 25cm side fan.

The Side Panel
#############

If you have a Thermaltake tower you would know how solid their towers are made, my tower weights 10Kg which is really heavy! This side panel is no different - it is built to take a bullet. Really nice solid design, very sturdy. You get the window on the side which is sectioned off into 3 segments - you see everything you want to see of the inner workings of the computer. The fan is positioned so it goes just above the CPU - the main component of the computer and the component which gets the most hottest (upto 60 degrees C!)

Installation
#########

Installation is really simple. You simply slide off your previous side panel and slide this one in. You have to connect up the side panel fan up to a free molex connector to give it power. If you don't have any spare connectors you can always buy a molex splitter. Once that's done, that's it!

Advice
######

The side panel fan is a really nice addition to the side panel - it is really quite and gives off A LOT of airflow. But once thing I did do is turn the fan around - before it was blowing cool air into the computer - and now (after I turned it around) its blowing the hot air OUT of the computer. As its positioned over the CPU heatsink I didn't want the aide fan blowing the air back in which the heatsink is (trying to) blow out. So that's my little tip for you guys!

Summary: Low cost, has a fan and a window
