The Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro is an amazing heat sink; it far surpasses the stock heat sinks provided with all Intel Socket 775 processors. I paid approximately £15 for this heat sink which it is relatively cheap compared to other cooling systems on the market. Despite the price I was not disappointed. Firstly the noise reduction is huge, before I could hear my Intel fan over everything in my case, but now I only hear a slight bit of noise from my hard drive. The fan has a range of speeds it can range from 900 to 2500rpm, at 2500rpm naturally it is slightly more noisy but only just, I allow my motherboard to control the fan speed, and therefore when the greater ... The Arctic Freezer 7 Pro is a great fan which provides adequate cooling for your CPU, overclocked or otherwise. When I first bought my Intel Core 2 Duo Q6600 processor, I wasn't entirely satisfied with the temp that the stock fan was giving me. The core temps were a little too high for me, so I decided to buy an aftermarket cooler. I had heard good things about this one in particular and the screenshots I saw of it looked very nice so I decided to go for it. Was that the right thing to do? Yessiree. The AR7 Pro knocked of at least 5 degrees on each core. I was very impressed. I clocked my Q6600 to 3 GHz and again I was left impressed. Core temps barely rose ... Read the complete review

If you have an intel stock cooler - bin it (well, dispose of it properly!). I was having trouble with CPU temperatures prior to buying this - my old Pentium D processor would regularly get above 60*C on full load with the sock cooler. After I'd installed this temperatures were more like 40-55*c. It's even cooler with the Core 2 Duo CPU I have now (35-50*c). The only major downside with this heatsink and fan is the build quality - the plastic used for the fan feels really cheap and thin - you could snap it without any trouble. However the actual heatsink is made of metal fins. Don't worry about the size of it - it's not too heavy and I haven't had my ... Read the complete review

I have to admit that I heard the hype behind this product, and I wasn't sure wht all the fuss was about...until I used one. What a great HSF! I set this up on a Gigabyte board running an Intel Core 2 Duo processor (sorry, can't remember the exact models). At the same time I bought the Freezer 7 Pro and replaced the supplied Intel HSF. The processor was overclocked from 2.4 to 3.2GHz and the Freezer 7 Pro coped brilliant with this heat surge. This fan is quiet, efficient and has the capability of coping with highly overclocked pc's. If you are thinking of buying a water-cooling system, I would suggest you try this first. The only ...
