The fan has a blue LED on it which is a nice touch if you have a side window on your case otherwise it just seems kind of pointless, saying that though to get a good look of it I removed the side of my case when I switched it on and it did look cool.

The Intel thermal solution XTS100H, this is a combination of a heat sink and fan and is designed to work on Intel i5 and i7 processors. This came nicely packaged in the box not much larger than the device itself, it was secured by pieces of polystyrene keeping the heat sink and fan from moving around in during delivery. The device itself looked exactly as it did on the website when I purchased it, all be it at first glance I was happy. Installing the item was easy as all it required was to apply the thermal paste to the bottom, screw the heat sink to the motherboard and plug the fan in to the correct pins.
