Advantages: Keeps very cool

Disadvantages: no instruction

If you have a laptop the chances are it will be overheating, and as time goes on it just gets hotter and hotter, apart from the obvious this is also very bad for your laptop, keeping it cool will give you better performance and the components will last for a lot longer, so for the small price of this product the value is very high.

When I first got this my laptop was scorching after about ten minutes of use, about a quarter of the back was almost too hot too touch, but now that I have got my laptop sitting on this product my laptop is nice and cool the only heat detectable is being pumped out of the side vents like its supposed to do, and even this is not that hot so this is very efficient at keeping your internal componants at optimum running temperature.

This product comes at under a fiver so is very cheap and chearful, the dimensions are 310mm x 265mm x 50mm, this makes my laptop hang of the end by about an inch and a half, it has 4 small legs, with the 2 at the back being slightly longer, the gives the laptop a small tilt, there is 3 small fans rotating at 3000rpm , each of these fans has 2 small blue neon lights so quite a cool glow comes from under your laptop, the unit is powered by USB this USB conection to the laptop fits good and is secure, it also has an adapter for another USB device to be used this is not good I gave up trying to use it.

At first I put my laptop on this with the laptop over hanging to the right, this meant one of the fans was blowing into my laptop inlet for the laptop fan, this was wrong and did almost nothing to the overheating, this too me was the obvious place to put it, after a think I thought the air should be blowing across the vents allowing the laptop fan to do its own work, so i put the laptop to the other side this worked perfect there is a bit of science behind this but I wont bore you with this. An instruction manual would have been good or at the very least instructions on the box.

Not just for laptops I use 1 for my PS3 and have heard of people using them on Xboxes

Summary: Good and very cheap
