Shuttle K-Series K45S ... is a legendary barebone PC! I ve used shuttles before and generally I found them to be only good for putting a quiet little PC in the lounge as a substitute for a high end DVD player / PVR. This shuttle in particular is absolutely legendary! Firstly, ALL of its hardware is supported by Mac OSX so you can turn it into a fully functional MAC using a retail copy of MAC OSX 10.5.4 with very little effort. I think this is the only complete barebone PC on the market that is *this* easy to turn into a hackintosh. Beware though, installing MAC OSX on non-apple hardware can void your software license. Acer Aspire L100 ... is a very good compact and handy desktop computer which comes with 1gb RAM and a 160gb Hard-drive. It is very easy to use and comes with Microsoft vista Home Edition. You can have more RAM installed if you want to to allow you to play games that are more memory hungry. This is perfect for people who want a desktop that does not take up too much room on the desktop or in their study. It is also very secure in terms of taking it apart so in some cases it can be very usefull for children who are a bit curious.
