... using this PC at work for over 3 months I can say it has been a joy! It has suffered no crashes running Vista business edition and has performed impeccably. I know that the Chinese bought out the IBM machines division and I was expecting a decrease in the overall quality but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Apple iMac MB417B/A ... bought an iMac mostly because I liked the design and I didn t want to be forced to buy a PC with Windows Vista. It has been a mixed blessing. Firstly, the iMac is a beautiful bit of kit. It is well designed, well built and takes up a lot less space than my PC. The DVD unit is incorporated into the monitor, which also contains ports to plug in peripherals. The 20" monitor is crystal clear and the sound from the built-in speakers adequate to hear sound. A camera is set into the monitor, so setting up video calls is a breeze. There are only 2 USB ports, so I have bought a 4-1 adaptor for £20 that allows me to plug in all my bits of kit. Acer Aspire X3200 ... now being reduced in size to form the newer space saving PCs. When my younger brother s laptop decided to stop functioning, I was tasked with finding him a practical replacement that was cheap, fast and ideal for a student. The result was an Acer Aspire X3200 with an AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core processor from Ebuyer. The rig came with 3 GB of memory and GeForce 8200 onboard graphics with Vista Home Basic pre-installed and no monitor at a cost of £276. The first thing we noticed upon receipt of delivery was how surprisingly small the system was. Space saving indeed! Apple iMac MA877B/A ... you go Mac you never go back....and this iMac is no exception! I had wanted a Mac for a long time after reading rave reviews online and also watching a Youtube video showing how much faster a Mac loads up compared to Windows. I love the fact that i never have to tediously control+Alt+Delete after my PC crashes a million times while trying to use internet explorer, now i use Safari and never have any problems. I have had my 20 inch iMac for 2 years now and haven t experienced anything i don t like about it. It s fast, efficient and very easy to use.
