Apple iMac MA590B/A ... have had my imac for almost three years now. Yes, it did cost more than a windows PC with the equivalent specifications, and yes your options to upgrade are rather limited, but overall I m so happy with my purchase. Mac OS X is a real joy to use, it s such an improvement over windows that I am shocked that more people don t use it and that I didn t start using it sooner. Whilst not perfect, OS X offers incredible stability and a very easy and intuitive navigation. The imac also came with a set of basic programs called iLife, which actually are very useful. iPhoto is a very easy and competent program, and garage band is again a good start for music production. Apple iMac MB325B/A ... think the iMac is a computer for personal or business use. All the new features available are great. My personal favorite is the photo booth where you can take pictures and make crazy effects with them. You can make a mirror effect or make your head huge with a small body, it has it all. Other features like iMovie and iPhoto are great for people who want to easily edit photos and videos. If you want to make extreme videos then I would recommend Final cut and Motion. These software packages are amazing and if you use them your videos will be top notch. The only thing I don t like about the iMac is at first it is a difficult transition from the PC.
