Apple iMac MA589B/A ... have had this iMac for just over 2 years now, and it is still the best machine I ve ever owned. I was a Windows/Linux PX user previous, but switching to the Mac had me wondering why I d not switched before. Every detail is thought out, even down to the magnet on the side for your (included) Apple remote. A built in iSight camera and microphone almost negates the need for a landline telephone! The independent software programmers for the Mac are also top notch, and you will undoubtably find a reasonably priced, beautiful program for anything you need to do. Apple Mac mini MB139B/A ... a budding Musician and Graphic Designer, and getting fed up with Windows, I decided the best option was to go for a Mac. The deciding factors were the Software available (namely LogicStudio 8), the reliability of Mac, the customer service and longevity (Macs are well known for holding their value). After weighing up the best possible options, the Mac Mini was the best. I already had a screen, mouse and Keyboard, so saving £300+ over the similarly spec d iMac seemed like a good idea! Mac stereotype has always been full of knitted sweaters, Starbucks and thick-rimmed glasses - though whether this is still accurate now that Apple are starting to take over is up for debate; while graphic design use is still high on its list of priorities (this is after all an area where it offers a wide range of software and is practically the industry standard), there are many other features that make it well worth a look, even as an adamant PC user.
