... year i was in the market to upgrade my pc and buy a better one. I found a website, acer outlet that sold premium acer products at a good price. It was just the pc, no monitor or speakers. When the computer arrived i unboxed the machine and set it up with my spangly new acer monitor and turned it on. A cool blue light came to life and lit the aspire sign. But i couldnt hear anything. Acer Aspire L100 ... is a very good compact and handy desktop computer which comes with 1gb RAM and a 160gb Hard-drive. It is very easy to use and comes with Microsoft vista Home Edition. You can have more RAM installed if you want to to allow you to play games that are more memory hungry. This is perfect for people who want a desktop that does not take up too much room on the desktop or in their study. It is also very secure in terms of taking it apart so in some cases it can be very usefull for children who are a bit curious. Be careful as the L100 has a tendancy to overheat if it is stuck in a small place and surrounded in things. This does make the model quite annoying as you... Dell Dimension E521 ... my husband was alive, one thing he loved to buy was a computer. So much so that when he died, we had 7 computers in the house, which is testament both to how much he loved buying them and also to how loathe he was to dispose of them. Over time I started to offload them one by one - including two earlier Dell Dimension models. However the E521 was the very last computer he bought and as a result was the one I decided to keep as the sole desktop computer in the house once I had moved my daughter on to a laptop. Acer Acerpower M8 ... this from Misco as an open box for a shade under £200, so it was pretty much all set up when I plugged it in. Three years later and it s served me well. Granted, there was a corruption on the harddrive the other year and I had to have an new one installed, but that might just be down to how I use it more than anything. As with the nother reviewer, I teamed it up with an Acer 17 flatscreen monitor and it looks the business, with its silver and black colour scheme.
