Shuttle K-Series K45S ... is a legendary barebone PC! I ve used shuttles before and generally I found them to be only good for putting a quiet little PC in the lounge as a substitute for a high end DVD player / PVR. This shuttle in particular is absolutely legendary! Firstly, ALL of its hardware is supported by Mac OSX so you can turn it into a fully functional MAC using a retail copy of MAC OSX 10.5.4 with very little effort. I think this is the only complete barebone PC on the market that is *this* easy to turn into a hackintosh. Beware though, installing MAC OSX on non-apple hardware can void your software license. Aopen miniPC Duo MP945-D ... is called an AOpen miniPC Duo MP945-D Desktop Computer and it s aptly named. Why? It truly is mini. There s an benefit for you straight off. The amount of space you save by having this instead of a normal computer with a full size tower is an advantage not to be missed. In fact, the company that makes it claim that you can save over 40% of space compared to a traditional desktop PC. If you re anything like me and you always have a messy desk and keep running out of places to put things, having a clean up and then getting the desk messy again in a few days then this is ideal for you. MSI Mega PC ... Mega PC can be used as an FM radio, a CD player and of course a full pc. It has a memory card reader, though you could replace this with a floppy if you wanted. What a lovely little unit this is. You get a barebones system, which basically means the case and motherboard, you have to add your own cpu, memory, hard disk and cd rom. You have to use the heatsink that comes with the unit, forget using your own aftermarket one, it wont fit. Unique to the Mega series, you can play audio cds through the system without the PC actually being on. The same is obviously the case with the FM radio.
