About 5 months ago I was writing a very important essay towards my online degree and the computer I was using, an ancient Dell, decided after it's many years of service to sadly pass on to computer heaven. I was left in limbo without a computer and the deadline was rapidly approaching...
I began to look online to see what was around and my eyes fell upon this Acer Aspire. When visiting the shop I fell even more in love with it and would not leave until my family had agreed to buy this computer.
It is beautifully sleak and stylish and being na all in one desktop it saves all that extra space that we all require nowadays! The set up was by far the most simple of any computer I have ever owned and I was using it within 45 minutes of plugging it in.
The technology and storage space is brilliant and perfect for a family computer as it has good graphics and ease of use. There are several USB connection points in the sides of the screen so plenty of scope here. The size of the screen makes all texts very easy to read and the touch screen allows more controll over your actions when using the pc.
My only qualm would be that the touch screen does sometimes take longer to react that when using a mouse but this isn't any big problem.
As a person without extensive knowlege of computers and PC systems, I cannot comment on overly technical aspects of this PC though I'm sure it has many. However, as a home desktop PC, it is certainly one I'd reccomend to any family or person interested in computing and up to date technology.
This in my opinion is a great step in computer technology for Acer. It is easy to use and by a mile, the most fun computer i have used in a long time.
Its got plenty of pros that i could spend ages listing, to mention a few would be:- A large hard drive, sleak design, great one peice to save space, quiet computer and the great funky lighting underneath the speaker.
The only thing i would moan about with this computer to be honest would be the speakers, they arent exactly the best quality in this (what i think is an amazing computer) However you can forget about that little problem with the Quad core intel technology it holds, the blu-ray multi slot drive, and an intigrated HD Webcam.
Also with the great HD LED screen, watching TV on it is a doddle and you get a remote too.
So all in all, I think this is a great peice of kit with a not so hugh price tag, A deffinate must if you want a modern peice of technology which looks the part and can wow your mates.
i have only had mine a week and i have to say wow .. what money well spent. having read some bad reviews on the previous modles of this with the slightly cheaper processor i was skeptical of purchasing one but how glad am i that i did. it has replaced the tv in my room as i can watch it on there!! all the errors on the previous models that i read about seem to have been resolved. the computer is compact so that it fits in a room ease but with a generous 23" 720p HD screen it still feels large wathcing all your movies or tv programs. the screen is also a full touchscreen which i was also worried about becasue some are slow to react but this is top notch and never fails to hit the right place. there is also a built in Hd Webcam with numerous features that i would be here all day listing!!
the system also boasts a dolby home theatre surround sound system which i do agree for a pc is brilliant however for those of you who like your tv/movies/music extrememly loud i would invest in some speakers.
the keyboard and mouse is wireless and the connection is unbeatable.
because of the quad core processor and 3mb cache the speed of the pc is unbelieveable especially upon start up and shut down.
i would recommend this to anyone looking for a new desktop computer because it does everything and it is very compact unlike the old desktops because this is all in one.
I would also recommend this to somebody renewing a laptop. i do believe this is the ay forward and that they will storm the market like the laptop has in recent years.
the pc also comes with an array of different accesories from photo touch editor to numerous games and other ideas.
for what your getting the valu for money is amazing.
if you purchase 1 please let me know what you think about it and weather my review represents your thoughts also.
The Acer Aspire Z5610 desktop is useful, but up until this point in time, was somewhat over-rated. The Core 2 Quad Q8200 processor installed on this particular model makes it worth the investment if you are looking for something rather dependable for a business/entertainment computer. The computer itself comes with a 23" widescreen LCD Display, which is a great deal in comparrison to a lot of other brands. Acer, in general, presents some time consuming bugs to overcome when it comes to compatability. However, so far, my experience with Acer and Windows 7 Home Premium in comparrison to the past Windows Vista experience is remarkably better. (For instance: installing certain windows updates and active-x controls, as well as upgrading certain audio and video drivers became over-complicated with Windows Vista and most Acer Models.) The good thing is, with this acer model, turning the operating system to a previous one is not as risky because the bugs/problems from previous versions have been resolved with the Acer Aspire Z5610. On top of everything, this computer comes with 4 GB of high quality RAM to power the new Windows 7 platform, as well as any others a webmaster or computer guru might use.
