Way back in the day the Apple iMac snow was my introduction to mac computing. I had used slow virus ridden PC's until then and it was time for a change. And what a change, usually found running Tiger OS this machine will not be fast enough to run many newer programs but if your looking for a super cool basic machine, or perhaps a simple to use for non computer types look this way.
The Snow special edition is the same as many other All-in-one iMacs of the time but features a 700Mhz (up from 600Mhz) processor and the highest RAM of the series.
Out of the box the power lead plugs straight into the rear with no transformer and a keyboard and mouse plug into the right hand side.
This machine features twin USB and twin firewire support. The USB ports are stacked closely above each other so any chunky plugins such as memory sticks will require a USB extension to sit properly.
These days, this machine is not going to win any awards, but my parents use it very happily as their second machine, for browsing, photos and music. CD writer drive it isn't capable of Movies, but all else is catered for.
Dont expect miracles, but this is still an extremely cool, timeless browser, and would work perfectly for a kids bedroom. This machine has been in and around my family for years and it has never ket me down.
