Advantages: Cheap, Huge performance for little cash. Great looks and portability.

Disadvantages: None. Nill. Nada. Zilch.

As a budding Musician and Graphic Designer, and getting fed up with Windows, I decided the best option was to go for a Mac.

The deciding factors were the Software available (namely LogicStudio 8), the reliability of Mac, the customer service and longevity (Macs are well known for holding their value).

After weighing up the best possible options, the Mac Mini was the best. I already had a screen, mouse and Keyboard, so saving £300+ over the similarly spec'd iMac seemed like a good idea!

One of the most interesting features was the ability to turn it into a mini hub for my music, videos and general files. This is due to a program called Bonjour, which will let any computer talk to the Mac Mini and access files. It also allows you to grab files from other computers in your network (which i thought was absolutely amazing)

If you still have doubts over performance, take me word for it, it is just as fast as the similarly spec'd iMac. I do very processor heavy work 24/7, and have never had a hiccup or anything. (I would suggest that you upgrade the ram to 2gb for seriously increased performance).

The only slight possible annoyance is that it has an intergrated graphics card. This wasn't a problem for me, but it *could* be for some people.

To conclude, I genuinely think it is one of the better computers around at the moment, considering price, performance and looks.

P.S For anyone who wants to know if the Mac Mini can handle LogicPro, i can 100% guarantee you that it will run absolutely beautifully. At first i found it hard to find out if it did run smoothly, and decided to take the plunge and cross my fingers. I just wanted people to know that it WOULD run fine, with no hiccups or glitches.

Summary: If you want a computer that will run the best, latest creative software, look no further.
