Compaq Presario 5000 SWV296 ... purchased my Compaq Presario just under a year ago and had been well worth every penny. The 5000 series 5Wv255 includes both a DVD and CDrw and a range of update useful software also with the optional free software. The quality of this computer is superb, the base unit, monitor and keyboard are well designed, modern and aesthetically pleasing. One of the delights with this PC, is that unlike some of the others I have owned in the past is that it is very simple to assemble with colour coded leads and ports. This makes it especially good for those who may be transferring it regularly from place to place, myself at university spent time ferrying it from Hall back home ... Compaq Deskpro EN ... I thought I write an opinion on the Deskpro EN computer as I uses it everyday at work and also do most of my Dooyoo time on it as well. Well first of all looking at the market at the moment there is so many machine out their that would cost you around 1000 pounds and would get a higher spec machine than this. Don’t be put off by this as this machine does more that it needs to with the power that it has. Now at work our computers are networked and it is very difficult not using all the services. Compaq Presario 5000 SWV296 ... purchased my compaq about 6 months ago now and it was one brand that I said I would never buy. Having worked in a major retail store selling these and seeing all the returns on them was the reason I felt I didn't want one. I was using an old computer and it was really on it's last legs so I had to go computer shopping. Every where I went I found nothing but compaqs so although my mind was set not to get one I didn't have much choice at the time. I purchased the computer, along with a monitor and an extra keyboard as I prefer the ergonomic keyboards that usually don't come with the computer and paid almost $1,800.00 for it.
