Decent for home browsing not for gaming

The dell dimension 2400 provides a standard computer qualification for a decent home computer. the computer without the upgrades does experience some interference when online like lag or errors. when i received my dell dimension 2400 and i had the lagging problems frequent. so i decided to buy some upgrades for the computer, they were upgrades for the CPU from 2.8 GHz to 2.8 GHz and from 512 GB of ram to 2 GB, both were the factory claimed limit. i wasn't able to play any games without it lagging but as for searching or websites like Facebook the computer was able to proceed without many issues. even though its a decent house computer it wasn't the computer i was looking for, because i wanted to play games so i gave it away. the computer mostly supports VGA type of video which is the usual blue cord. this is an old computer and it is not expected to run as good or any close as modern day computers. so its buy what you get, nonthinking more. i wouldn't recommend this computer to anyone trying to get into gaming on PC, but i would recommend this to a family where they need just a simple home computer for casual browsing of the internet or getting work done. this old computer does not support dvi cords because it does not have the ports for it in the back. a graphics card or sound card can be installed onto the computers mother drive, but i wouldn't upgrade that. i would say just buy a newer computer from a thrift store or online.
