I've been to Dell and back! (Dell Dimension XPS T)

Disadvantages: Um... I can't think of any!

When I telephoned Dell to order my XPS T6001 Terry Wogan answered the phone. What a charming man; he appreciated that I only wanted the model advertised (PIII 600 128MB, DVD, big screen and nice speakers), but thought that I may also want to add a CDRW drive. I had one in a different machine, so I didn’t bother.

Terry explained everything to me in his dulcet Dublin tones and told me that the computer should arrive in a week or so.

In fact it wasn’t Terry Wogan – it just sounded like him, and it wasn’t a week for delivery – it was three days!

I have had some good computers in my time – Elonex have been reliable – and I have had some dross - Time For A Change I thought, and Terry’s sound-alike came up with the goods.

From start to finish (even the cardboard boxes exude quality) the experience has been painless. The machine was perfectly set up (no annoying US layout on the keyboard setup or other laziness prevalent with some lesser suppliers) and has had no problems that can’t be blamed on Bill Gates!

I have been using this machine daily for six months and I have nothing but praise for it!

When the time comes for me to buy a new computer, guess what? I’m going back to Dell!
