The A980 features the SiS651/962 chipset with integrated 256-bit 3D graphics accelerator for Intel Pentium 4 processors. The graphics accelerator supports a shared memory size of up to 64MB, and also supports advanced hardware acceleration for DVD playback. The AGP 4X interface ensures crisp and clear graphics quality, while the chipset's Ultra-AGPII technology interconnects the integrated VGA chip and memory controller, allowing data transfer rates up to 2GB per second. SiS' special MuTIOL technology provides 533MB/s bandwidth to connect the chipset's north bridge and south bridge.

Even the most memory-hungry applications will not cause a problem for the A980, which is equipped with one DDR DIMM socket to support up to 512MB of DDR SDRAM (DDR266 or DDR333).
