18 months ago I bought a Select 650 for little over £1000. Even now, with processors twice as fast (following the trend of speed doubling every 18 months) my Athlon still ticks along at a high speed, very consistent and very reliable. But the only trouble is the Graphics card. Just weeks after my PC was delivered, 3DFX, makers of my Voodoo3, folded. Hereby ends the updated drivers for the card. As a result the games performance is noticably lower than that of a GeForce2 of the time, however this has been a minor set back over the time. I recently purchased a Gateway Select PC which I brought over the Internet from the Gateway Website. The whole process from looking at their computers to actually receiving it was 1st class. I recommend Gateway to anyone thinking of buying a new computer whether it be for Home or Work. On the website I was able to search and look at many different models. When I decided which one I liked it was also very easy to order and it got delivered within 5 days. The Gateway Select model I chose has been very impressive.
