Advantages: Very compact, Lower risk of hardware faults due to lack of moving parts

Disadvantages: Not easily upgradable

The HP DC7900 Ultra Slim Desktop is a product born from a market leading manufacturer. With any kind of electronic equipment, the phrase "you get what you pay for" is very true.

Having very small dimensions and being ultra light weight, the Ultra Slim Desktop is built around the laptop design, using a similar type of design for the DVD drive whereby the drive pop's out slightly and you can then pull it out manually further, insert the cd and push it back in.

Within a minimal amount of moving parts it also means that the product is less prone to hardware failure compared to a standard desktop or tower built computer.

With high specifications and the option of the HP Care Pack which typically offers same day or next business day onsite warranty including parts and labour for a minimal amount, this product should definately be considered for the business environment where space is a concern.

This product is not ideal for home users or those that have specific needs that may required hardware upgrades as the computer has very limited upgradability due to its design.

Summary: In the correct environment a superb alternative to a traditional sized computer
