The versatile design supports either SCSI- or SATA-based models, providing both high performance and high reliability with the SCSI-based models, or SATA models that provide high capacity and a lower price. In addition the ML350 G4p can be optionally equipped with a second processor to improve performance, and redundant power and cooling. Utilizing internal storage, the ML350 G4p Storage Server can provide up to 1.8 TB of user data and can meet future needs by installing a second storage controller that allows connection to external storage arrays (either SCSI or SATA).

Powerful remote management capabilities are standard on the ML350 G4p, including Integrated Lights Out (iLO), a web based GUI for remote management and support for both terminal services and a command line interface. Management and support features of the server include remote management, Quick Restore DVD, and support for third party applications such as virus protection and backup applications.
