This model of the 300PL uses a 350MHz Pentium II processor, running on a fast 100MHz system bus. The Pentium II combines advanced 32-bit architecture and hardcoded MMX instructions into a processor that handles both standard business and multimedia applications with ease. 512K of L2 cache helps keep the Pentium II operating at peak efficiency. The 300PL ships with 64MB of 100MHz SDRAM installed, upgradeable to a maximum of 384MB for more demanding applications. The 6.4GB S.M.A.R.T. hard drive offers fast Ultra-ATA data transfer rates, up to 33MB/sec. The capacious drive should provide plenty of storage for most individual users, especially when connected to the additional storage resources of an office LAN.
