aaronphil Packard Bell iMedia MC 1539: ... bought this as a family computer back in 2005 and were very impressed at the time with the specs and feature that were included. The 512Mb of RAM was more than enough back then and are ok now but with four RAM slots there is plenty of room for upgrading especially when the motherboard supports 4GB. The programs installed were actually very good but again there was the usual rubbish AOL program and some other spo...

sazzy76 Packard Bell iMedia 8026
... was a bit wary of purchasing the packard bell i media 8026 mainly because it seems a bit to cheap to be any good, I was initially looking for a pc that I could download all my pic to from my digital camera wanted to browse the net and catch up with programmes I may miss whilst at college. Well I was completley wrong this pc does everything I wanted is quite fast and can run a few programes at the same time without crashing , I was told this would be a big problem with this pc but it does not seem to be the case. The only issue I would have with this pc is that one of the connections at the back sometimes becomes loose and falls out this could just be a fault with my pc....

... point, I was in the year 1792 and when I looked again, I was in the future in 2210. I knew this wasn t right. I searched the internet what it could be. Apparently, it was the battery on the motherboard and if that went, it was bye bye PC as the battery kept the BIOS and a few things running. This PC was only 6 months old. ... your shouting get an external floppy drive..I ve tried it and the BIOS does not recognise it. Apart from that there is no other major problem with the computer. You can easily upgrade to Windows XP with a XP bootup CD. The price for the whole computer is around £1000 (I got it for) but now you can probably get them cheaper. If you really want to wipe the computer then you need to ring up Packard Bell and ask for the "master cd s" they will send you some cd s but the call charge is 75p* a min. That is on a BT standard line. The computer has a sound card built in and some speakers right across the front of the monitor. It is not very easy to open up and ...
