... HP tower is a strange mix of good an bad. The amount of memory installed on this machine (the RAM) is listed at 512MB. This is not enough. It is barely enough to run Windows on it s own. Unless this machine is to be used for basic tasks (mine has an accounts system and is used as a printer server for other computers on a network) then you will need to upgrade the RAM memory to at least 1GB. Dell Dimension 9150 Essential ... to you but I dont know if they make it anymore. I needed to upgrade the DVD/RW drive on it because there was some problem with using a work based software I had on it and the person I spoke with at their call centre said something about it not being available now, they have an upgraded version of this computer but I am sorry to say that I dont know what it is. The technical blurb on this computer is as follows (prepare to be impressed and cry not bad for a girl ); it has a 250GB hard drive, 1GB RAM, Pentium D Processor, CD/RW and a DVD/RW and there are a total of 6 USB ports! HP Compaq Business Desktop Dx2200 ... have notcie there is no techie reviews as he/she put it (i never look ed for gender lol) what i found out about this computer when i researched it becuase this site says it has no CPU no RAm no hard drive and alll the rest this pc has a micro tower whitch measn it is quite small. i dont have sizes. the cpu is a intel celeron 2.8GH z from what i no this model with the same model number had this speed i might be wrong away this is a nice pc quite fast and is by intel whitch is always quite a good sign of quilty. it comes with 256 ram (ddr2) whitch in my eyes is just not enoght but it does say that the max is 2GB whitch would make this pc much nicer the reason you need... Compaq Evo D500 ... i was sat in the uni library I saw 3 or four different computer types, the first that I settled on was a COMPAQ Evo, with a COMPAQ 5500 monitor. The nice silver and black design looks appealing when you first set your eyes on it, and it s also smaller than most desktops I ve seen (though I think I ve seen smaller Dell s in the past), so will quite happily fit most places. In comparision to other objects, it s about the size of an X-box (original one), which may have been big for a console, but is small for a desktop PC. Now onto the actual review, nothing seems terrible about it (though please note I am only doing work on it, as opposed to playing Doom 3 or Half-life ...
