Apple iMac DV Tangerine:
... are funny old things - they are merely lumps of plastic, glass and microchips, but we can get quite attached them. That was certainly the case with the iMac DV which I owned during my uni years. This particular model is now around 9 or 10 years old. I could write a review saying that it can t run applications anymore because of its dated processor etc, but that would be pointless, as no-one is going to buy... Apple iMac DV Indigo ... iMac DV was the first computer made by Apple which I owned. I cannot stress how groundbreaking a machine this was in its heyday - both in appearance and overall design. As such, it was the first computer to feature a USB port - futuristic stuff! It really is a piece of retro art as well as being an excellent computer, and wouldn t look out of place alongside a lava lamp and a space-hopper. The deep CRT screen, which is the trademark of this model, also functions as what would be the tower on a standard PC, and houses the brains of the unit. Apple iMac DV Blueberry ... this computer came out it was top of its class and very impressive. Now however it struggles to do most things apart from look amazing. It runs on the old Power PC architecture and has a 400MHz processor, however, from a new install it is still quite swift at editing video with the supplied software. The 10gb hard drive is no where near sufficient for any serious video editing that you d like to do. However it is upgradeable quite easily to something larger, say a 120gb one. It has a slot loading dvd/cd player which looks quite cool but you re a bit stuck if a cd gets jammed or stuck inside, as there is no manual release like on tray loaders. The graphics are acce... Apple iMac G3 ... old iMac G3...hmm a great computer! This computer is one of the old iMacs from Apple. It is so cheap so everyone can afford it and still it is a wonderful machine for its price. It is not a gamer computer or computer for video processing but it surely good for listening music (it has very good speakers), it is also good for students ( for typing ), for surfing on the Internet and even for storing some photos. It has small hard drive and a slow processor for other things (which is normal for a computer from around 1998) but if you want cheap computer for simple things this is surely the one. iMac have always had cool design, even this computer which is old more then 10...
