bruffyboy Minesweeper (PC): ... have never understood this little free game that comes with every PC I have ever used, so let me look it up! OK, you have to clear a minefield by clicking on boxes ina grid of squares. If there is a mine in there, it s game over, but if you can click all the mine free boxes you win. Every time you click a mine-free box it tells you how many boxes around it contain a mine, thus there is a mathematical way of winnin...

Revier Empire Earth (PC)
... Sierra, the makers of such instant classics as half life, comes Empire Earth. An epic of a game spanning over 500 000 years of human history. The game is undeniably a strategic affair, the premise, to construct a base, raise an army and quash those who seek to destroy you. In this respect it is similar to the likes of the unstoppable Command & Conquer series, an absolute giant in this genre. However, EE differs from C&C in a few key aspects which I will now go into. Firstly and perhaps most notably, the game starts off in pre history. You are little more than cavemen, with rudimentary weapons and makeshift buildings, as time passes and you accrue an appropri...

Revier Civilization 2 (PC)
... a rule my favourite type of game is one where you have to put some thought in to get something out of it, of course, sometimes you just feel like blowing hordes of zombies away with a shotgun but generally speaking I am a strategy fan at heart. Civilization 2 is an incredible strategy game, with the focus being on empire expansion and the obliteration of your enemies through a mixture of military might and diplomatic superiority. The game is viewed top down, as if the camera was hovering miles in the air and at a slight angle. The graphics are poor but this is more than made up for in sheer gameplay. The game is turn based and the map is a little bit like a chess bo...

blackviolets The Sims 2: Open for Business (Add-On) (PC)
... some people have gone out and bought the Sims 3 games I ve stuck to purchasing expansion packs for Sims 2. I have other reason though, the main being I know that my computer could never support the needed system requirements. I opted for this particular game because I wanted to do something else with my computerised companions. To actually give them something else to do other than the same old thing-getting up, married and gaining skill points. Open for Business gives your sim the chance to run their own shop selling toys, flowers, clothes or maybe even garden gnomes. A restaurant, a salon or maybe a bowling alley. All by just picking up the phone or using the ...
