Battlefield 2142 (PC):
... loved the original game Battlefield 1942; it presented one of the most unique and well developed online offerings I ve ever played, complete with amazing vehicles and stellar combat. When I heard that a sequel set in the future was to be developed, I was a bit sceptical, but at least hopeful that it would be good. Thankfully, EA have delivered once again with what is for the most part a great game. The film s prem... Read the full review: A great twist on a superb game by shaneo632 |

Thief - The Dark Project (PC) ... I m a fan of first person shooters, I ll be the first to accept that they rarely employ much intellect and are generally quite mindless "shoot anything that moves" outings. Thief: The Dark Project, however, is a very different piece, a first person action game that ll reward you for using your brain and punish you for being an all-out Rambo type. Unsurprisingly, you re a thief, and so the game requires that you be stealthy and move around without detection. It is in a world that is very realistic and doesn t resort to cartoonish clichés or flimsy plot elements; you have to sneak in the shadows, and if you re caught, the AI won t stop looking for you; y... The Movies (PC) ... my other Dooyoo reviews will no doubt tell you, it s no secret that I am a huge film buff, and so the thought of a PC game that allows me to make my own movies made me rather excited indeed. It is fair to say that The Movies is a game with a very ambitious goal, to allow you to create a versatile number of "movies" with a complex and nuanced film studio, allowing you to enhance quite a vast number of attributes (such as the tautness of your actor s skins), and although it is a bit painstaking at times, it is also very addictive. After a quick tutorial, which quite aptly details how to work the immense interface, you are left with the freedom to make your ow... Read the full review: A great little game by shaneo632 |

Gangsters (PC) ... is a game that really delivers what it says on the tin; it is a game about gangsters, seeing you as the leader (or "Don") or a mob family, where you have to associate with and mostly eliminate competing rackets. You can do so through clever negotiation, brutal intimidation, or simply wiping your competition out with an array of machine guns. If The Godfather was to become an RTS game, this is how it would play out. Although I did find that the gameplay took a little getting used to, this is quite a layered game that becomes more enjoyable as you play it, I find. Every trope of the mob film has been recreated lovingly here, such as the ability to send ... Read the full review: Repetitive but fun for a bit by shaneo632 |
