shaneo632 Battlefield 2 - Special Forces (PC): ... LOVE the original Battlefield 2; it was an immense spectacle of a game that, against supreme odds, managed the sizeable feat of actually bettering the original game. It was noted for its stunning online combat and impressive visuals. Special Forces is an expansion that won t really do much for the casual players, but it adds a little bit of "oomph" to the game for the hardened veterans of the original. V...

shaneo632 Company of Heroes (PC)
... do like RTS games, but to be honest, most of the time I get a bit bored of harvesting resources and the other grind activities associated with the genre. I m more a fan of the combat and epic scale of warfare, and Company of Heroes, a rather good RTS game, recognises this kind of action-based RTS audience. Set during World War 2, this takes a familiar setting but infuses it with a new few ideas and is very entertaining as a result. What really makes this game stand-out is the gameplay; it is a very rich and detailed look at warfare, giving you, with its great visuals, an epic and arresting look at the fight. You can see soldiers employ great intellect to beat the enemy...

shaneo632 Medal of Honor: Airborne (PC)
... love the Medal of Honour series. For better (Allied Assault), or for worse (Pacific Assault), it is always very cinematic and engaging, and although the series hasn t been hot for a while, I ll always buy the games because they deliver an experience like no other. It is in many ways an apotheosis of the MoH series, because it is indicative of both the strengths and flaws of the series as a whole. Firstly, the plot is a bit of a mess, but then this isn t really why many play the MoH series; there are some individual stories from various soldiers that don t really cohere, but as a glimpse at WW2, it does absolutely deliver as the cinematic spectacle, thanks largely to so...

shaneo632 Fable: Lost Chapters (PC)
... is not an RPG that re-invents the wheel; it is not the groundbreaking RPG that Final Fantasy 7 was, but it is rather fun and brings a welcome level of customisation that the genre has not as much seen before. Primarily the game is an action RPG, and although it is rendered very minor due to its short play time and light tone, it is still an entertaining game even if it will leave you wanting a lot more for your money. Those looking for an original plot might want to check elsewhere, for it s your typical story of a young boy who grows to become a hero. The only interesting nuance is that you can either be a "good guy" or a "bad guy", indicated b...
