shaneo632 Doom 2 (PC): ... is the original masterpiece of the FPS genre, and its sequel, imaginatively titled Doom 2, is every bit the game the original was, even if it s not quite as revolutionary. For its time, the game may not be a masterpiece of graphics (and certainly looks dated now!), but it was certainly adequate, and its retro design is something of an iconic identifying signature nowadays. It is a game that will live on forever ...

shaneo632 Call Of Duty 2 (PC)
... first Call of Duty game was a fun antidote to the also great Medal of Honour series, and while rough around the edges, it set a good precedent for a franchise, which has now obviously flourished beyond anyone s dreams with the recently huge release of Moden Warfare 2. However, that isn t to forget the great earlier games, particulaly Call of Duty 2. My main complaint, as is true of most of the CoD games, is that it almost caters to the casual crowd too much, because this is a very easy game that isn t going to challenge anyone. You now heal when damaged automatically as long as you stay out of the way of fire, but I must say I do like the auto-saving every few minute...

thole09 Pinky and The Brain: World Conquest (PC)
... and The Brain: World Conquest" is a puzzle video game. It was first released in 1998 as a PC CD-ROM title by SouthPeak Interactive. In the United States, the game received an age guidance rating of "E" which deemed it suitable for all ages. The system requirements to run it are minimal by today s computing standards but include: * Operating System: Windows 95, Windows 98 RAM: 32 MB Hard Disk Drive: 65 MB Free Disk Space Video Memory: 2 MB Sound: 16 Bit Compatible Optical: 4x CD-ROM * I have tested this game to be fully operational through Windows XP Home Edition. At the time of this game s release, the now defunct MSN Gaming Zone offered a co...

shaneo632 Duke Nukem 3D (PC)
... FPS player worth their salt has played Duke Nukem, a series that has since evolved into numerous third person outings. However, Duke Nukem 3D is the entry that is most people s favourite, as it marked a generally change towards 3D games in the FPS genre rather than the tiresome 2D "rail shooters" that we d all become so accustomed to. Duke is just one very cool game; the plot may not be up to much (it s usual Duke vs mutant shtick), but Duke s superbly-voiced quips, the levels, the insane weapons, and the sheer mood, tone and atmosphere really adds up to something that is incredibly satisfying. At the time of its release, Duke Nukem 3D really was the pinn...
