... is one of those games that just gets a bit addictive. It s a simple concept where you have to link similar jewels in a falling grid. There is an element of strategy to avoid getting stuck but luck is possibly more important. A good fun timewaster that s not as intense as something like tetris but with more action than minesweeper. Bejewelled 2 (PC) ... > Action mode: this is my favourite mode. It s much the same as above but you have a time bar at the bottom and you need to level up before your time runs out. If you run out moves the board scrambles and you can carry on. I love the fast pace and can get some whopping scores in this mode and I can spend far too long playing! > Puzzle mode: I don t play this mode too often but when I do I always enjoy it. It is a good take on the game; you get a pattern of coloured gems on screen and you have to eliminate all of them buy making groups of at least three. Portal ... brought to you by Valve who also created Half Life. Portal was made using the same design engine used to create Half Life 2 but don t let that fool you into thinking your PC will play this because it can play HL2. Would that it were my FPS playing friends but sadly its untrue. Portal is badly designed but its implementation is even worse, installing the game for the 1st time is nice & simple.
