Nope, Adventure Quest Worlds is 100% free and there is an optional members package if you wish to be a member. This isn't nessesary for playing the game though, as it just comes with some bonuses and such.

Adventure Quest Worlds. Adventure Quest Worlds is a new updated game from the Battleon company run by Artix Entertainment. They originally came out with the Adventure Quest online role playing game and this is its followup.
