Advantages: Great online play

Disadvantages: Poor graphics for todays standards

Age of Empires II is my second time in the franchise as I played the first one for a long, long time. This is considered an RTS (real time strategy) game where you build up buildings to make units in order to win a large battlefield conflict.

For those who have played the first game the sequel is better in almost aspect. First off you will get more options to automate some of the annoying tasks such as finding idle builders. Also the AI is much smarter and allows you to have more time for strategy and no micro managing the battlefield.

For new comers to the franchise will find this an exciting strategy game that is considered to be a classic among RTS' along with Blizzard's Starcraft and Warcraft series.

The best thing you can do is play online. I recommend using Gamespy or Comrade, but many other multiplayer utilities support this game as well.

Graphics are good, sound is really good and online play means this game will last a long time.
