Advantages: fun to play,
Disadvantages: none
This is one of the best rated real time strategy games on the market these days. And I am a proud owner of it.
Although this is not my favorite strategy game it is surely in my top selection. It is based on real historical nations and you have quite many to chose from (British, French, German, Russian...) each and every with its units (some of them share the same, some have unique) and a unique game play. As you play (multi payer r single play) your nation or home city gains experience and grows wit levels. With every level reached you can choose new cards (which you can send out when you play the game as a shipment from your town center) each nation has their special cards. The cards contain food, and other resources, small battalions of soldiers, industrial improvements, workers... This by my opinion makes this game really more interesting because in that way you can really make your nation unique.
You also get some city improvements with each level, so you can make your city look better. It is a useless feature but a nice touch on the game.
The campaign is really interesting and the story is superb.
I am more of a multi player player fan myself. So the game offers interesting multi player game. You can play with all nations, and your city grows with each game played. You can play against friends, online and against computer and you can set several difficulty levels for it. There is many different maps to play on.
The only thing that bothers me in multi player is that you can only set up 2 teams. So there is not many combinations to choose from.
The graphics are of great quality and are a joy to watch. You can decrease/increase the quality to best fit with your needs and your computer.
The game is really interesting and is one of the top strategy games so far. I recommend this to every strategy fame lover and also there are quite a few add-ons available in stores already.
Also published elsewhere on the net.
Summary: a really great game
