How many hours have I lost to this game! Children and fiancée neglected, cats starved, friends lost this game is not good for the social life. The plot is rudimentary and functional for the game. A space ship full of earth's top diplomatic representatives is returning to earth when the captain and all of its crew are mysteriously assassinated. Forced to crash land on an unknown planet the survivors are scattered across the globe. With no chance of rescue can you build a society and dominate this new, alien planet? ?The best strategy game ever made? ? PC Gamer I have to agree with the above quote taken from the front of the game, I have never before become so involved and absorbed by a game. The earth is destroyed, and the ship with the last remaining survivors of the human race is on its way to Alpha Centauri, however the crew is woken early from their cryo-sleep and in the many years that follows the crew split into 7 unique factions. After these factions crash land onto the planet surface each one must battle for supremacy over the others. This is done through exploration, discovery, building and conquering.
