Advantages: Fun game for little cash!

Disadvantages: Not that great on your own

This simple little game is quite old now, and can be picked up for around a fiver. It involves a top-down grid with destructible blocks between most of them. Spread around the level are bombermen (of which you are one), who have to destroy the blocks to open up routes and reveal power-ups, with the ultimate aim of blowing all of their opponents to bits.
And that’s it.
Simple as it sounds, this game is great fun, with you frantically trying to box you opponents in with explosives while avoiding nearby bomb blasts. There are a few different level themes to use, and some have special effects, like holes in the ground and trampolines.
Basically, this is a great laugh when you’ve got a few mates round, but it’s very difficult against the computer (who is extremely good). And at a fiver, it’s not much to fork out, is it?
