---Intro---- "War is not pretty!" whoever said that never laid eyes on Battlefield 1942. In this first person shooter, you find yourself smack in the middle of World War II. It is one of the biggest multiplayer games out there today, surpassing games like Quake and Counter-Strike in popularity. ---Gameplay---- You can be one of several classes, including Medic, Support, Assault, Scout, and Engineer. Once you have decided upon your nation you then have to decide what type of soldier you wish to play as. There are five different types of soldier to choose from - Scout, Assault, Anti-Tank, Medic or Engineer. Soldiers carry different equipment ...

It turns out the new kid on the block has completly demolished everything else in the multiplayer stakes. Technical aspects: Battlefield 1942 is a high specification monster: The minimum specifications quoted by EA: Pentium 3 or equivalent 500 MHz, 32MB graphics card and so on are a little bit wishful, and at these specs you will experience bad graphics, long loading times, slowdown and so on. Indeed, at only 500Mhz i am told the game is almost totally unplayable. Since there is ...
