In 1997, BBC Multimedia released this ?Pingu? CD-ROM, a collection of very basic puzzles and games aimed at children and based on the then-popular clay animation series of the same name. Our youngest son,3, loves to watch Pingu. Whenever it comes on tv he just sits excitedly watching. We've been keen to get him more interested in using the computer, the arrival of BBC Media's Pingu software has been the ideal way to do this. There are also 5 screensavers in addition to the 5 games and 5 puzzles. The age range for this is 3-6 years. The skill level can be ...  Read the complete review

This children's CD-Rom from the BBC, features characters from the much loved Pingu tv series. The suggested age range is for children from 3 - 6. There are 5 games, 5 puzzles and 5 screen savers on one CD, which means that interest in this software doesn't fade after a couple of days and there are different levels of difficulty to choose from and some games also offer options for one or two players. The animation is bold and colourful, the characters appealing and the music catchy, if very, very repetitive! This CD-Rom has proved popular with my children and their friends, well after the suggested upper age limit of 6. ...  Read the complete review
