Advantages: Good gameplay, graphics and storyline, many ways to comlete game
Disadvantages: Could have multi-player, characters need to be refined a little more graphically IMO
After playing Black and White the original for a while I decided not to rush but I still ended up getting the second.
The whole point of this game is to take the presence of a God, ruling over your civilisation trying to advance them and take new world. This game is another among the increasingly popular games that allows you to take different routes to the end, you can be a good God or an Evil God, both have conseuquences and rewards.
With the settings turned to max on my PC the game world was beautiful and although the characters still lack much details it's a pleasing game to look at. The first thing you will find, or at least I did was that if you ever start a new game, even if you have played before you are forced to sit through the compulsory tutorial which can be a tedious and time consuming task, taking the best part of half an hour.
Once into the game though you start with a simple world and civilisation with few buildings and options available to you, once you start completing goals and objectives you move up ranks unlocking new buildings and powers. That's another good part of the game is the ability to cast powers with movements of the mouse which you rarely see in games. Powers allow you to instantly spawn water, attack spells or defence spells using mana which you receive through your people worshipping you.
Overall the game has a fairly good story, graphics and gameplay although sometimes you can find yourself wanting to rush it since it can become boring with some of the tasks and seem a little simple. Although once you start to get into the game you will find it more challenging to overcome your obstacles.
I think although this game does have re-playability it could have benefited with a multi-player mode allowing players to battle against each other which would have increased the games popularity and lifespan even more.
Summary: It's a great game which could have had great possibilities if it had multi-player.

- 18/08/09 If you really want to enjoy this game you need to realistically have above the minimum it requires, since at bare minimum the beauty won't be revealed and I know graphics aren't the biggest part of a game but you want something that it pleasing to the eye right? |

- 18/08/09 Sounds like a great game, although my PC is too slow for games. |
