So another Blair Witch horror/adventure reaches our PCs, and with one still to come, it has to be said that things are really beginning to get a little stale. Coffin Rock is not a bad game, though. The omnipresent puzzle solving of the first one has been toned don somewhat, in favour of a more swashbuckling approach. So, instead of merely snuffling about looking for clues, you're apretty much required to shoot or slash just about anything that moves. This fairly linear slant is not to the detriment of the plot, and in true Blair Witch style there are suprises aplenty... One of the most innovative elements to the story is the series of ... I can't say I ever played the first game in this series although I have heard that it is meant to be quite good. Obviously if this is the case then something went horribly wrong in the production of the second game. Loosely based upon the Blair Witch phenomenon, this tells two stories which run parallel to each other. You are a man lost in the woods suffering from memory loss and who keeps having flashbacks to your time in the American civil war leading a patrol in the same woods. As the lead character Lazarus, you must not only solve puzzles in order to regain your memory and discover your reason for being inthe woods in the first place but also fight ... Blair Witch 1: Rustin Parr was a fairly competent game. It had the right atmosphere, the Nocturne engine really suited the game, it had enough action and puzzles to keep people happy and for £19.99 it lasted a good while. Blair Witch 2, like the film, is not as good as the first. This time the emphasis is more on action then on puzzle solving, obviously trying to get into the mainstream market, but although this should prove its biggest advantage it works the opposite way, as mentioned later. You play a soldier who is found by a young girl called Robin Weaver in the woods of Burkitsville. You are taken in to her home and while resting you find out ... Read the complete review

Well I have already written an opinion on Blair witch volume 1 so I thought I would follow on from that by giving you my opinion on volume 2, so here goes.. Blair Witch Volume 2:The Legend Of Coffin Rock. I bought this game at the same time as I bought volume 1 but I didn’t take a look at it until after I had completed volume 1. This game seems to lead on from the first one when you play this it feels as if you are still playing the first one except of course you are a different character. You take on the role of a mysterious soldier, who is stricken by amnesia and you are found wandering in the woods in Burkittsvile, Maryland by ... Read the complete review

This is the 2nd installment of the gaming trilogy pretty much leading on from the first. You play a slick soldier named Lazurus who must fight his way through the mystery of coffin rock. Yes again based on a part of the Blair Witch film with some interesting scenes that may well remind you of the film. The cut scenes as with the first are excellant the graphics are good and the sound is again out of this world, again to do with the Nocturne engine. After completing the first I was left wanting more so this clearly brings it and once you get further into the plot as with the first the mystery simply starts unfolding very well indeed. The controlling aspect ... Read the complete review
