Advantages: A continuing saga of a great first game, will scare and amaze you until the 3rd
Disadvantages: Makes you jump and you may want to play the 1st
This is the 2nd installment of the gaming trilogy pretty much leading on from the first. You play a slick soldier named Lazurus who must fight his way through the mystery of coffin rock. Yes again based on a part of the Blair Witch film with some interesting scenes that may well remind you of the film. The cut scenes as with the first are excellant the graphics are good and the sound is again out of this world, again to do with the Nocturne engine. After completing the first I was left wanting more so this clearly brings it and once you get further into the plot as with the first the mystery simply starts unfolding very well indeed. The controlling aspect of this game is rather difficult to get used to at first, but once you get the handle of it as with Nocturne and the first installment you really start wondering what the fuss was about. The atmosphere is again suberb and reminisant of the film and as with the first installment the sound makes you jump off your seat especially if you have headphones on and a good sound card. Graphically wise the engine handles amazingly again like the first (see the review it pretty much says it all). With again a good storyline and a tumbling twisting plot this is a good continuation of a great gaming idea the trilogy really is good and I think scarier then the film. Watch out for the fiends which jump out on you and make sure your careful of the saves. I recomend you play and complete the first before palying this one as the mystery continues as with every trilogy, however its not the end of the world as it is still a good solo game and it sure will get you jumping. All in all a good breakthrough of games bring on the next installment and it better explain them all in a grand finale!
