I love this game just love it.During 1998 I use to play heaps of computer games and this one was on top of my list, whole day I use to keep on playing this game.During 1998 computer games had decent graphics not great but this game had tremendous graphics. The grounds in this game are stupendously designed and they completely look like the country you are playing in and the sound of the game is great for example if you are playing in India you can hear whistles and similar crowd noise. There are some mistakes here and there like if you see the hoardings you will see mistakes in the brand names and players are not spelled correctly, the controls of the game are easy,I haven't ... Hmm, why can I no longer come up with any good titles! Anyways, onwards.......... Cricket is quite a popular sport with the general public, so I often wonder why it is so under-represented when it comes to the computer games market. Cricket games are few and far between, but when you do get one they are often rather good! Brian Lara Cricket is one such case, and even better, is now available on the Sold Out budget range for only £5! Check out www.sold-out.co.uk for details, and let me just add that they are a great company with great games (No, I don't work for them, they were just very helpful when I had a problem, and the installers that come ... Brian Lara cricket is surprisingly a cricket game! I bought it way back when it was released, in my longing to find a good cricket game on a computer. The game was actually released way back in 98, this means the players names are slightly out of date, although in cricket names do not change so rapidly as in other sports. The game is recreated in full 3D, a first for cricket games (although now you have EA cricket ect), and it all looks stunning, even three years later. Commentary comes from Mr Jeffrey Boycott, and Jonathan Agnew, however as it tends to happen in sports games the commentary is very repetative. There are 7 tournament types ... Brian Lara Cricket is a very realistic Cricket Simulator. It has superb graphics and excellent detail. Everything you can do on the game is exactly the same as real cricket. There is a huge selection of different shots to chose from when you are batting. Bowling is less exciting and the manual fielding is just too hard. There are loads of different matches to chose from and all the teams are the same as in proper international teams (if a bit out of date now). ... Read the complete review

There are 240 players on the game, 7 Tournement types including World series and the World cup. You can also relive some classic matches and change what happened in the past! The game also provides expert commentary from Geoff Boycott and Jonathan Agnew. This game is an essential for all cricket fans and for people who don't like the the game! I know i'll buy the sequel ... Read the complete review

Excellent gameplay, good humour, Good graphics and sound. Easy to control.
Very difficult at later stages, sometimes hard to figure out what to do.
Luxor (PC)
A super addictive game that eats hours.
The music is terribly distracting.
Virtual Villagers 3: The Secret City (PC)
Fun, hours of gameplay
Can get boring.
Unreal Tournament III (PC)
Good gameplay, New weapons and vehicles, Polished feel
Too similar to older games, graphics far too intensive, Not many changes.
Butterfly Escape (PC)
Good premise for a game.
Not used to its best advantage.
Loom (PC)
Interesting concept and some classic adventure game shenanigans.
Some puzzles are far too easy, and the gameplay becomes repetitive.
