      Advantages

      Disadvantages

George Stobbart is a real nice guy

The Broken Sword trilogy is to this day and always will be forever the best set of point and click adventure games on the market, even if one of them isn't point and click. In this set you get two absolute classic games and one alright one. The two original Broken Swords are quite simply perfect. In these games you play as George Stobbart (two B's and two T's), and briefly as his on/off girlfriend Nico, as you travel the world following the trail of the secretive Knights Templar and other things. Along the way you have to solve puzzles by pointing your mouse/cursor at things and clicking on them. You pick up items, talk to people and do other things as well that interact with the things on the screen at the time. The graphics are a bit rubbish nowadays because they are old and not even in 3D in the first two, so that might put some people off because they think all old games are rubbish but they're wrong. These games are really funny and full of charm. The third one is a bit of a let down but this is made up for by the other two, so it really is for the purchase at anything under a tenner in today's market, even with the credit crunch on and all that.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A good mix of puzzles and story to fascinate you into continuing to play the games

A set of three 'point and click' adventures for the PC (There is a fourth not in the pack, but these three are the best of the series in my opinion). The third game (The Sleeping Dragon) is in a 3D environment so not a traditional point and click, the controls on the first two (as suggested by the name is point the mouse where you want to go and click and the character moves and does as you commant - the right mouse button alters between 'open', 'talk', 'push' etc depend on what object you hover over)

The story lines all follow the adventures of George Stobbart and his french love interest 'Nico Collard' and your control switches between the main characters but always opens with George.

The Shadow of the Templars. The first of the games introduces George, an American tourist in Paris, who is drinking in a Cafe when a bomb explodes - naturally he decides to investigate, helped by photojournalist Nico. The plot revolves around the Knights Templar as the pair travel around the world as conspiracies and murder unfold around them.

The Smoking Mirror. To open Nico, now George's girlfriend, gets kidnapped. His mission is to rescue her and in doing so uncover a drug ring and Mayan superstition.

The Sleeping Dragon. George and Nico are no longer a couple but come together to solve their third mystery - taking them back to the Knights Templar and many of the locations from the first game, as the villans have reformed a new cult and attempt to destroy the world as we know it.
