Advantages: Keeps you occupied for hours on end, Great fun!

Disadvantages: Very graphic intensive, Requires a fairly high system spec

If you liked even one of the previous Call of duty titles then you'll love this one. Instead of your usual WWII rickety plastic and wooden guns you finally get to play with the big boys. In CoD4 you can use all types of weapons be it a desert eagle, mp5, m16A1 or even a Barrett .50 cal for those oh so fun head-shots on unsuspecting victims.
Like the other call of duty games, this has two main game types. Single and multi play.

Singleplayer
Be it rescuing your fellow marines pinned down by an unforgiving computer AI, finding top secret nuclear weapons or rescuing a trapped contact, single player will blow your mind away. Although there is no use of vehicles (apart from the flying fortress) the diversity of mission types will keep you on the edge of your seat right to the end. This is one of the only FPS games that I've come across to have a difficulty setting worthy of calling its self "hard"for anyone that likes a challenge I can guarantee you that you wont be disappointed.

Multiplayer
The multiplayer system on Call of duty 4 has got to be one of the best aspects about the whole game. You start as a level 1 (private) with just basic guns and traits. Once you start killing people in game you then unlock special missions that you can complete along with awsome new weapons. Each of these weapons can then be upgraded even further to cause an unbelievable amount of trouble for the opposing team. There is a total of 55 ranks you can get, most of which unlock new weapons. It will most probably only take a hardcore gamer 1 or 2 weeks to reach maximum rank, but even then the upgrading doesn't stop as you still have various other difficult challenges to complete.

Graphics
Now even though call of duty 4 is said to have some of the best true to life graphics even seen in a computer game, my computer if fairly old. To run this game I needed to run it 640x480 res with every one of the graphic settings put to as low as it could go, but none the less, I still enjoyed playing it.
If you have a fairly decent computer that can run it full graphics with a nice resolution i'm sure you'll be even more amazed and glad you bought the game than I was.

Summary: Very good game, especially the multi-player aspect

this game is a good exemple of why you have to upgrade your computer, on this days pleaple are running buying dual/quad core computers with 2 gb or more, just to use internet/word and whatch movies, this is a crime, because to make that a p3 is the same, now if you have great games like this one then you have a good reason to upgrade !
this is a good review, i only have a complain about this game...its why they made so hard to put more maps on the multiplayer, im a lan player and have a lan party every week at my home, so we have to change the maps all months and contraly to mohaa the cod is a pain.,..,
