You play with two different characters while playing the game: Soap MacTavish of the SAS (USA) and Sgt.Jackson of MASQ (USA).
The story and the missions are very extensive and the image quality is very good. What I regret is that the single player is very short. When you play at the highest difficulty level, this campaign will take a bit longer, but even then it is still too short. Compared with Call of Duty 2, its predecessor on the PC, the single player is very short. In my opinion, this game is made in a bit of a hurry. They used a lot of things from Call of Duty 2, such as the explosions of grenades, the red screen when you're almost dead, and a few other things. I had more expectations about the game, first of all a longer single player, and secondly there should have been more opportunities in terms of military weapons and everything around it. You can't drive a tank or even a simple car. Too bad!

If you like Call of Duty 1 and 2, I suggest you to stay there. Call of Duty 4 does not have a lot of new stuff. In my own opinion, the single player of Call of Duty 2 is much better.

If you like to play online and you like to participate in competitions with your own team, then is CoD4 a real winner.
